Digital Accessibility Standards & Conformance

Standard: WCAG 2.1 Level AA Updated: October 2026 Jurisdiction: Colorado / ADA Title III
01.

Our Accessible Design Standard

Velviques is committed to providing a digital platform that is fully accessible to clients, patients, and visitors of all physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities. Our clinical practice located at 300 East 17th Avenue in Denver operates on clear communication, transparent pricing, and anatomical precision. We hold our public website, procedure catalogue, and consultation booking interfaces to the same standard.

We benchmark our public digital assets against the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA conformance. These guidelines define how web content can be rendered more accessible for individuals with visual, auditory, motor, speech, and neurological conditions, as well as those utilizing assistive hardware and software.

02.

Technical Conformance & Palette Contrast

The visual identity of Velviques utilizes a grounded oxblood ground (#4A1F22) paired with warm cream typography (#F5EBE1) and aged gold interactive markers (#C99758). Every primary text color and background pairing has been verified with spectrophotometric contrast analysis to deliver a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body copy and 3.0:1 for large display headlines, meeting and exceeding WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.4.3.

No clinical information, pricing detail, or treatment contraindication is conveyed exclusively through color. Visual cues such as borders, structural underlines, typographic weight changes, and semantic iconography are paired with textual descriptors throughout the consultation forms and procedure specifications.

03.

Keyboard Navigation & Focus Architecture

Every interactive element across Velviques—including top navigation links, procedure index drawers, horizontal treatment carousels, expandable FAQ disclosures, and our consultation chat widget—is operable without a mouse. Visitors navigating via sequential keyboard controls can navigate using Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, and Arrow keys.

We provide a visible skip navigation link at the absolute top of the document hierarchy. This skip link bypasses repetitive header chrome and allows screen reader and keyboard users to land directly on primary content. Focused controls display an unobstructed 2px to 3px solid focus ring in aged gold (#C99758) with negative offset to prevent visual clipping.

04.

Assistive Technology & Screen Reader Compatibility

Our templates are built in valid semantic HTML5. Landmarks including <header>, <nav>, <main>, <article>, <section>, and <footer> structure every page. Headings follow a strict logical hierarchy starting with a single descriptive <h1>.

All clinical imagery, treatment photography, and equipment demonstrations carry descriptive alternative text detailing the clinical modality without vague filler terms. Decorative marks and icon glyphs carry aria-hidden="true" to prevent cognitive noise. Dynamic interface states—such as unread chat counts and consultation request errors—are piped through live regions (aria-live) to alert screen readers without stealing user focus.

05.

Reduced Motion & Vestibular Safeguards

We recognize that rapid animations, parallax shifting, and unexpected scrolling can induce vestibular disorientation or migraines. Our kinetic headline animation on the homepage is engineered to revert immediately to plain static DOM upon completion.

Furthermore, the entire site honors the operating system preference prefers-reduced-motion: reduce. When this setting is detected, horizontal scrolling carousels automatically collapse into vertical document stacks, transitions are set to zero duration, and smooth scrolling is disabled.

06.

Barrier Remediation & Contact Protocol

We conduct regular code reviews and assistive technology evaluations using JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and automated linting suites. If you encounter any digital barrier, inaccessible element, or difficulty completing an inquiry on velviques.click, our clinical administrative staff will assist you directly and escalate the issue to our development team.
